The first two houses have the style that probably mine had one day, hopefully I will eventually be able to renovate the house back into its original look.
The house bellow I have been painting in auarelle. From my first day in Falköping it has been my favouritehouse.
We continue the path uphill and will first pass by the little zoo on the top.
The unsharpness of the picture above is due to Mimmi going bananas in the leach when seeing the peacock.
I quite liked the dizziness of the picture though, it reminds of an impressionistic painting wich I think I will try to do out of this picture.
The walk continues on the tracks up the flat hill. We seem to be almost the only ones in the forrest today fighting the sun and the heat.
After passing by the spa and almost 4 hours walk Mimmi is worn out (have to groom her fur, she is looking like Balloo in The Junglebook right now in the heat!) and walking on only three legs, promisses her that we will go to the lake. Just wish she was as eager about the shower (where she is hoaling like her ancestors the wolves) as swimming in lakes.
Her fear is usefull in one area though, if begging (or I should rather say WHEN) for food at the dinnertable I just threaten her with the bath and she goes unmisstakeably into hiding.
Back at the house our journey goes on in the car. Our first stop is at the little lake Bergsjön. By now the weather has changed and some wellneeded drops are falling.
We decend down to the fields again overlooking the landscape.
The picture bellow have to be my favourite for today, feel also tempted to use this one as inspiration for an oilpainting. The little barn is located opposite of my absolute favourite spot Löfwings (www.lofwings.com) wich is a gallery and restaurant on the countryside.
This part of the country is the dairy of Sweden, someone said that it lives more cows than people here. It was also here Sweden as a nation was established. In ancient times there where lots of battlefields around and more fortresses than anywhere else in Sweden.
There are lots of gravefields like the one bellow which is more than 4 000 years old.
Our sightseeingtour goes on to Hornborgarsjön where people from all over the world come every April to watch more than 10.000 cranes in the lake mating having a pitstop on their way from Africa to the north.
The day passed and we went to Gia for dinner in the evening.
Today has been a calm day, me doing this site and Mimmi resting her leg, but now we will go to Sjötorpasjön for a doggyswim.
It is evening and a bit cooler as daytime has been real warm.
